Jacobs Ladder, Sidmouth
Jacob's Ladder beach is so named due to the wooden staircase that leads down to the beach, which is approximately 1 mile long and is set in this beautiful sheltered bay.

Jacob's Ladder beach consists mainly of pebbles with a large expanse of sand revealed at low water. These pebbles are actually protected by law and it is an offence to remove any - so be warned!!

When the tide is out there are plenty of rock pools to play in. The stunning, tall red cliffs of Sidmouth form a backdrop to the beach.
There is easy access to Jacob's Ladder beach and the facilities available include a beach caf.

Beach huts and deck chairs can be hired, plus there are nearby toilets situated in the cliff top Connaught Gardens.
