It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is on the Jurassic Coast world heritage site and the South West coast path, a long distance footpath that skirts almost all of the coast in the West Country of England. Sidmouth Esplanade features fine buildings, gentle strolls, stunning views, shops and Hotels. Sidmouth is the perfect atmosphere in which to relax, take a seafront stroll or a bracing walk on Peak Hill and experience the magnificent panoramic views of sea and shore with Sidmouth spread out below. For the less energetic there are many gentler walks around the town, parks and gardens and along the seafront linked by a walkway to the western beach at Jacob's Ladder Beach.
