 Sidmouth is a small town on the east Devon coast in south west England about 15 miles south east of Exeter. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is on the Jurassic Coast world heritage site and the South West coast path, a long distance footpath that skirts almost all of the coast in the West Country of England. The beach in Sidmouth is roughly one mile in length. Set in a bay, the beach is fairly sheltered. The beach itself consists mainly of pebbles but it is occasionally sandy when the tide goes out. The Promenade runs the entire length of the beach and the town is always close by providing all the facilities you might need.
